Last updated: 31 July 2026. These terms apply to the Calcanova website at calcanova.com, including every calculator, guide, and page on it.

1. Who we are

Calcanova is operated by AdvisorLB, based in Lebanon (“we”, “us”, “our”). In these terms, “the site” means calcanova.com and all of its language editions, and “you” means anyone who visits or uses it.

2. Accepting these terms

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. You do not need an account to use any calculator, and we do not charge you for access.

3. Not financial, legal, or tax advice

This is the most important thing on this page. Everything on Calcanova — the calculators, the results they produce, and the guides that explain them — is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to take, or refrain from taking, any particular course of action.

Results are estimates based solely on the figures you enter and on simplified, general-purpose assumptions. They do not account for your personal circumstances, and interest rates, tax rules, allowances, thresholds, and regulations vary by country and change over time. Always confirm important figures with a qualified professional, and with the lender, tax authority, or institution concerned, before making a decision.

4. Accuracy and availability

We build and test these tools carefully and want them to be right. Even so, the site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects, or that any result is accurate or complete.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site — including individual calculators — at any time and without notice.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any loss or damage — including lost profits, lost savings, lost data, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or your reliance on anything it produces. You use the site, and act on its results, at your own risk.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use the site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected system; interfere with or disrupt the site, including by overloading it, scraping it at volume, or deploying bots, scrapers, or automated tools against it; introduce malware or any other harmful code; circumvent or interfere with any security, consent, or advertising mechanism; or misrepresent the site's output as professional advice from us.

7. Intellectual property

The site's name, logo, design, text, guides, layouts, and underlying code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may use the site and its calculators freely for your own personal or internal business purposes, and you may quote short extracts from our guides with clear attribution and a link back to the original page. You may not copy, republish, resell, or redistribute substantial parts of the site, or create derivative works from it, without our written permission.

The figures you type into a calculator are yours. They stay in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers — see the Privacy Policy.

8. Advertising and third-party links

The site is supported by advertising and may display ads served by Google and its advertising partners. Ads, and any sites they lead to, are not under our control: we do not endorse advertised products or services, and we are not responsible for advertisers or for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site we link to. Any dealings you have with an advertiser or a linked site are solely between you and them.

How cookies, consent, and advertising data are handled is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. It is not designed for, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live).

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for example, if the site gains new features or the law changes. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here, and the “last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the site, are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Beirut, Lebanon shall have jurisdiction. If you use the site as a consumer elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
